Journey to the other side

Just a short update to let you know that we made it to London.
Flying with China Southern Airlines was easy and the layover in Guangzhou overnight was smooth and comfortable. We had the choice of at least 6 hotels - we chose Holiday Inn, and were appointed a double King suite that was very flash indeed. Breakfast buffet was included and certainly delicious.

The next leg of the flight from Guangzhou to London was loooooong. However, there was plenty of leg room, the flight was underbooked so the boys had a row to themselves, as did Ken and I, and there was very little turbulence.

Customs, through to shuttle to Hertz, to our AirBnB in Ealing went smoothly, as did our first night sleep. Ken and I were awake by 3am - but feeling rested, and the boys (lucky bastards) slept til we woke them at 6am for breakfast.

Today sees us taking a bus tour of London, a river cruise on the Thames, the British Museum (of course!) and Westminster Abbey. Blog entry and photos of today's adventures to come this evening.
